ARCHIE GRISSOM
STONEWALL-Services for Archie Dean Stinnett Grissom, 83, Stonewall, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Dennis Heath will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Stonewall.
Mrs. Grissom died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at her home. She was born October 31, 1927 in Bokoshe to Arthur and Mary Smith Alcorn. She attended Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church and Stonewall Assembly of God Church. She was a waitress and cook for Bob's Bar-B-Que for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Grissom, of the home; her sons, Andrew Stinnett, Eufaula, Johnny Stinnett and wife Bonnie, Tupelo, Jimmy Stinnett and wife Sandy, Ada, Ricky Stinnett, Stonewall, and Arthur Stinnett, Stonewall; her daughters, Sheila Worrell and husband James, Colleyville, TX, Charlotte Willoughby and husband Wayne, Ada, and Joyce Shaw and husband Chuck, Checotah; brothers, Lindell Alcorn, Jack Fork, OK, Tommie Alcorn, Sulphur, and Billy Alcorn, McKinney, TX; sisters, Jodie Foster, Stonewall, Mary Buchanan, Stonewall, and Rosa Lee Newton, Durant; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Stinnett; a son, Willie Stinnett; and two sisters, Pauline Alcorn and Frankie Alcorn.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Jamie Worrell, Toby Willoughby, Scotty Stinnett, Jeremy Prince, Dale Stinnett and Marty Stinnett. Honorary bearers will be grandsons, Timmy Stinnett, Brian Stinnett, Michael Stinnett, Christopher Stinnett, Shane Stinnett, Justin Stinnett, Matthew Brady and Casey Prince.
