ARCHIE MAE KIRKLAND
ADA-Services for Archie Mae Kirkland, 81, Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood officiating. Burial is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Atoka.
Mrs. Kirkland died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at her home. She was born Oct. 5, 1928, to Archie B. and Millie Ann Small Stone at Atoka. She attended Soper Schools and moved to the Ada area in 1947. She was employed with Southwestern Bell for 36 years, retiring in 1983. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
She and Weldon B. Kirkland were married Sept. 15, 1956, in Gainesville, Texas. He died in Lubbock, Texas, in 1965.
Survivors include two daughters, Karlean K. Sutterfield and husband DeWayne, Ada, and Anne Kirkland, Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Troy Kirkland, San Diego, Calif., and Marvin Kirkland and wife Elizabeth, Bolinas, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Bryan Sutterfield, Glen Sutterfield, Ernie Staggs, Darrell Rhoads, Max Crook and Wayne Minson.
