A celebration of Life for Anthony (Tony) Alton Tweedy, 72, of Edmond will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma. Rev. Steve Dighton and lifelong friend of over 60 years will officiate.

Mr. Tweedy passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home with his wife and two daughters by his side after a long battle of esophageal cancer. He was born February 5, 1951 in Ada, Oklahoma to Alton Tweedy and Joyce Fowler Tweedy.

Throughout his life he served in the Army National Guard, worked for Hewlett Packard for 30 years and then Sundance Office Supply for 15 years. And on June 25, 1996 he married Dawn Willis.

Mr. Tweedy is survived by his wife, Dawn Tweedy of the home; two daughters, Tasha Herbig and husband Derek of Keller, TX and Heather Tweedy of St. Charles, MO; two step-sons, Joshua Harris and wife Sarah of Edmond and Zachery Harris and wife Kylee of Yukon; one brother, Greg Tweedy and wife Stefanie of Ada; and five grandchildren, Brevon Herbig (14), Blakelynn Herbig (12), Brekyn Herbig (9), Parker Harris (18 months) and Dawson Harris (17 months).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Joyce Tweedy and sister, Vicki Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations of your choice to three organizations that Mr. Tweedy felt very passionate about: The American Cancer Society, the ASPCA and the Oklahoma State University Foundation.
