TONY REEVES
ROFF-Services for Anthony "Tony" Newton Reeves, 58, Roff, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at an Ada nursing center. He was born Sept. 7, 1952, to Carl Vaughters and Ellafey Yvonne Phelps Reeves at Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended Roff Schools and had lived in the Roff area most of his life. He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Chemical Express for 10 years before moving to Tulsa and working for Wonder Bread. He moved back to Roff to care for his mother and continued working for Wonder Bread. Mr. Reeves was a member of Evangelistic Temple.
He and Denise Mary Goodman were married May 20, 2009, at Ada.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Reeves, of the home; two daughters, Shiela Cobb and husband Justin, Roff, and Toni Reeves, and boyfriend Ray Lee Ingram, Ada; one step-daughter, Bernadette Atterberry and husband Elzie, Tulsa; three sisters, Nancy James, Edmond, Leona Parks and husband Benny, Edmond, and Sheree Bervard and husband Paul, Ft. Collins, CO; one brother-in-law, Vincent Kirk, Konawa; six grandchildren, Stephen, Megan, Jeffrey, Brandon, Kristen and Ricky; two great-grandchildren, Payten and Trevor Click; "Uncle Buddy" leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Faye Reeves; a sister, Carolyn Kirk; and a nephew Christopher Kirk.
Bearers are Michael Campbell, John Roland, Dustin Finch, Stephen Reeves, Elzie Atterberry and Cylas Foster.
