ANNE BRASHEARS
ADA-Services for Anne Margaret Brashears, 73, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Scott Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Jesse Cemetery.
Mrs. Brashears died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 15, 1938 in the District of Wisbech, County of Isle of Ely, England to Sidney James and Elizabeth Jane Dalton Dockerill. She attended and graduated from Wisbech Covenant School.
She married Jerry Brashears on August 27, 1963 in Los Angeles, California. She and her family moved to the Ada area in 1978 from Lincoln, California. Mrs. Brashears was a nurse's aide in numerous hospitals in California and also Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada. She also owned "Penny-Saver", a retail business in Ada. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen J. Dockerill of Ada, and Mark A Brashears and his wife LeAnn of Ada; three daughters, Josie Cutts of Buckinghamshire, England, Theresa Anne Buxton of Ada, and Lisa J. Brashears of Ada; her grandchildren, Jessie D. Nolen and his wife Rozella of Jesse, Danielle N. Masoner and her husband Joel, Justin A. Brashears and wife Kristina, Christina R. Dodson, Tara L. Brashears, Ryan A. Brashears, Aron E. Brashears, Kayla Carter, Kevin Carter and Kelly Carter, all of Ada, and Adam Cutts and Alicia Cutts of Buckinghamshire, England; her great grandchildren, Raiden, Kainen, Alyissa, Boston, Reese, Marley, Isla, Caprie, Jaden, Mason, Jaida and Lily; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bearers will be Stephen Dockerill, Justin Brashears, Ryan Brashears, Eddie Holland, Mark Brashears and Joel Masoner. Honorary bearer will be Jessie Nolen.
