Anita Lyon
Services for Anita Ruth Lyon, 74, of Ada and formerly of Sasakwa are at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Sasakwa High School Auditorium. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Mrs. Lyon left this life to live with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015. She was born January 1, 1941, in Sasakwa to Babe and Josie Stout Harjo. She was a longtime employee of the Chickasaw Nation having various occupations, most recently as a teacher's assistant at Chickasaw Nation Childcare in Ada.
She was a longtime member of the Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, OK.
Survivors include daughter, Connie Lyon Bradshaw and husband Richard, Pittsburg, TX; Son, Bryan Lyon and wife Leah, Ada; three sisters, Betty McGilbert, Shiprock, NM, Shirley Clayton, Shawnee and Janie Newby, Konawa; one brother, Winfred Harjo, Ada; six grandchildren, Dakota Allen, Carson Bradshaw, Desiree', Devin, Dominique, and Dawsyn Lyon; two great grand-children, Aiston and Hunter Allen, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Lyon was preceded in death by her parents, Babe and Josie Harjo; her husband Hoyle Lyon, two sisters, Elizabeth Camp and Madeline Harrison; two brothers, Leslie Harjo and Richard Harjo.
Bearers will be her grandchildren; Dakota Allen, Carson Bradshaw, Desiree Lyon, Devin Lyon, Dominique Lyon and Dawsyn Lyon.
Mrs. Anita Lyon will be missed by many, until we meet again.
