Andrea Archer
Andrea Jean Archer passed away on Saturday August 31st in Ada surrounded by her two daughters and her sister, Carla. She was born on March 25, 1953 in Ada, OK to Andrew Jackson Byford and Zanna "Jean" Byford. She married the love of her life Lawrence Archer on March 6, 1977 in Ada, OK.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracie and husband, Dean Merritt, and Stacie and husband, Cody Hefley; her son, Kevin and wife, Kristi Hood all of Ada; nine grandchildren, Emily and husband, Ethan Byrd, Mason and wife, Mary Merritt, Jake and wife, Tosha Johnson, Derek Johnson, Cody and wife, Georgie, Kylee and Kyler Hood, and Sierra and Kaylee Hefley; six great grandchildren, Adler Byrd, Conner, Cooper and Carson Johnson, Rylee Johnson and Jennette Hefley; two sisters, Carla and husband, Steve Miller and Lisa and husband, Randy Nail; brothers; Jay and wife, Deanna Tuley and Russ and wife, Monica Tuley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Archer; her father; two step fathers, Arnold Tuley and James Hood; her mother; best friend, Jean Hood and two sisters, Pam Welch and Terri Sellon.
Andrea grew up in the Ada School System and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. Anyone who knew Andrea knew she loved her Lord and her family because she loved to tell you all about them. She was known as nana to most of her nieces and nephews and all of her grandkids and their friends and she loved them all.
Andrea was a stay-at-home wife and mom before going to work with her mom at her in-home day-care center. She later started her own cleaning service and then retired to spend time with her family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 7, 11 am at the Union Hill Baptist Church of Ada.
The family would like to thank the staff at Halo Hospice for the care and guidance during the last months of our mom's life. A big thank you to the staff at Ada Care Center for the loving hugs and care they have shown her the last 20 months. You treated her like your family for which we are eternally thankful.
