Amy "Hokte" Owings

Memorial services for Amy Norleene Cully Owings, 89, of Sasakwa are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Spring Baptist Church; Rev. Faren Coody and Joe Coon will officiate.

Mrs. Owings passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in Shawnee.  She was born June 10, 1936, in Sasakwa to A.C. and Nora Turner Cully.  She was an Executive Secretary for the Indian Health Services until her retirement.

Survivors include her son, Michael Owings and wife Dos of Shawnee; daughter, Jodi Hamilton and husband Randall of Ada; brother-in-law, Perry Palmer of Tulsa; grandchildren, Cheyenne Owings, Nora Barnett and husband Nick Bovard, Mychal Barnett and husband Isaiah Ott, Reese Hamilton and wife Jersey, Abigail Owings, and Alexis Barnett; and great grandchildren, Hector, Alejandra, Cruz, Brazelynn, Natalee, Alya, and Eren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Owings; parents; four brothers; five sisters; and one great grandson, Enrique Silva.
