ADA-No services will be held for Amy B. Davis, 88, Ada, formerly of Dallas, Texas. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. this evening, Jan. 10, at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born April 1, 1921, in Montreal, Canada, to Samuel and Violet R. Daunt Davis. She was a high school graduate, attended college and was a homemaker. She was an avid golfer and tennis player.
She and Fredrick H. Davis were married Aug. 2, 1948.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail Landrith and husband Tommy, Ada, and Allison Stephanie Duffel and husband Mark, Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Douglas Davis Kelley, Amanda Nicole Kelley and Lillian Rose Noworatzky and husband Mark; and two great-grandchildren Austin La'Heureux and Lila Grace Noworatzky.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosaland Dewa Davis on July 25, 1975; a sister, June Robinson in 1982; and her former husband, Dr. Fredrick H. Davis in April 1998.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to Pontotoc Animal Welfare Society, 1200 Sandy Creek Drive, Ada, OK, 74820.
