LEOLA COFFEY
ADA-Services for Amy Leola Coffey, 89, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Coffey died Monday, February 16, 2009 at a Shawnee nursing home. She was born March 22, 1919 in the Egypt Community, northwest of Ada, Oklahoma to John Henry and Ora Vaden Myers. She lived in Ada all her life and attended Egypt and Vanoss schools. She graduated from Latta High School.
She married Arden L. Coffey on October 7, 1952 in Latta. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2008. Mrs. Coffey was employed at the box plant of Hazel Atlas Glass Company in Ada in the 1940's. She was also a homemaker and a member of Southwest Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel Henry Evans Coffey, Shawnee and M. Dewayne Coffey, Oklahoma City; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Minson, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; one sister, Ruby Gregory, Seminole; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Bearers will be Ken Coffey, Curtis Coffey, Jack Coffey, James Ray Coffey, Jerry Bob Coffey, and Donnie Higginbotham.
