AMOS CHANDLER
ADA-Graveside services for Amos Willard Chandler, 77, Ada, are 1 p.m. Monday at Rosedale Cemetery, with Rev. Tony Folger officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard at the cemetery.
Mr. Chandler died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1937, to Elmer Fred and Ethel Annabell Webb Chandler at Hollywood, Alabama. He graduated from high school and attended college. He moved to the Ada area in November 1994 from Perris, California. Mr. Chandler was employed in the aerospace manufacturing industry until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Navy from April 3, 1956 until being honorably discharged April 2, 1962.
He married Judy Ann Eckels Oct. 29, 1958.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Chandler, of the home; two sons, Fredrick Chandler and wife Debi of Cherry Valley, CA and Mitchell Chandler and wife Kathleen of Redlands, CA; a son-in-law, Mike Rochovitz of Ada; three sisters, Trudy Freeman, Bea Brooks and Lucille Jones, all of Scottsboro, Alabama; two brothers, Kenneth Chandler and wife Vicki of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and Charles Chandler and wife Joyce of Woodville, Alabama; six grandchildren, Melody Hagar, Nathan Rochovitz, Stephen Chandler, Christopher Chandler, Ashley Chandler and Tiffany Carrillo; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Pam Rochovitz.
