ADA-Services for Alvis Lee McDaniel, 80, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Frank Trent will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. McDaniel died Friday, March 14, 2014 at a Shawnee hospital. He was born October 11, 1933 at Ada, Oklahoma to Leroy and Mae Hughes McDaniel. He lived in this area all his life and graduated from Vanoss High School in 1952. He also attended East Central University. Mr. McDaniel had been employed at Otasco, Trader Mills, Transcon Lines, Lee Way and Haliburton Freight Services. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include a sister, Lawana Cannon, of the home; one brother, Dennis McDaniel and his wife Deloris of Oklahoma City; four nephews; 3 nieces; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vonda Dees and Kathy Deaton; two brothers-in-law, Charles Cannon and Orlan Dees.

Bearers will be his nephews.
