No services are planned at this time for Alvis Dickerson, 70, of Coalgate, formerly of Springdale, AR.
Mr. Dickerson died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his daughter's home in Coalgate. He was born June 10, 1945 at Mena, Arkansas to Henry Clay and Leona Reynolds Dickerson. He attended grade school at Graham, OK and graduated from Graham High School.
Mr. Dickerson married Gay Mercer. She preceded him in death March, 1998 in Lawton. He later married Nancy Houchin Cutler June 4, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Dickerson was a general laborer in the oilfield and later he worked at hog farms in Arkansas. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of the home; daughters, Angela Woodell of Coalgate and Brenda Rutherford of Ontario, Canada; a step-son, Casey Cutler of Springdale, AR; niece, Susan Walsh and her family of Lewisville, TX; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
