Alvin Gilley

Graveside services for Alvin McCoy Gilley, 91, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Richard Hood will officiate.

Mr. Gilley passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026 at an assisted living center in Shawnee. He was born March 19, 1935 in Durant, OK to Albert John Gilley and Gladys Venable Gilley. Mr. Gilley served in the U. S. Army.

He was the owner and operator of Owl Pawn Shop in Ada for many years.

Survivors include his brothers-in-law, Jerry Nelson, John Nelson and Jerald Nelson; nephews, Jeremy Nelson and John Nelson, Jr.; nieces, Emily Nelson, Erica Anderson and Charity Webb; and great-nephew, Kauldyr McCoy Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Gilley on September 14, 2022; and son, Chris Barkley.
