MARSHALL, TEXAS-Services for Alta Mae Shaw Adams, 83, of Marshall, Texas, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada.
Mrs. Adams died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at a Jefferson, Texas nursing home. She was born December 1, 1929 in Roff, Oklahoma to Russell and Beulah Montgomery Shaw.
She married Arthur Adams. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker, cook and an avid bird watcher.
Survivors include a son, John "Mike" Henry and his wife Neala of Marshall, Texas; three grandchildren, Shawna Stidham of Florida, David and Minnie Henry of Oklahoma City, and Alisha Beavers of Oklahoma City; four great grandchildren, Mikayla, Maddox, Maci and Rylee; and a brother, Colonel Bog Shaw of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Candace Stidham in 1990.
