ALICE BRANSCUM

ADA-Services for Alice Marie Branscum, 67, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home with Jimmy Branscum, Bruce Crawford and Mike Rains officiating. Burial follows at Vamoosa Cemetery.

Mrs. Branscum died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at her home. She was born May 29, 1940, at Nogales, Arizona to Dale Wallace and Cora Southern Wallace. She attended school at Konawa. She retired from Valley View Hospital after 34 years of service. She was affiliated with Silas Missionary Baptist Church of Konawa.

She married Arlton Branscum on August 21, 1956 in Ada.

Survivors include her husband Arlton Branscum, of the home; three sons, David Branscum and his wife Eve, Ada; Eldon Branscum, Ada; and Clifton Branscum, Ada; six sisters, Ruby Seahorn and her husband Art, Stratford; Jo Hightower, Konawa; Betty Deatherage and her husband Willis, McAlester; Ann Smith and her husband Clarence, Konawa; Dorothy Katurian and her husband Leon, Guthrie; and Mae Wallace, Muskogee; two brothers, James Hightower, Norman; and Junior Hightower, Shawnee; grandchildren, Felecia Mixon and her husband Shane, Lexington; Crystal Dixon and her husband Greg, Wynnewood; April Hunley and her husband Jeff, Ada; Matthew Branscum, Roff, OK; and Jamie Branscum, Ada; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Hightower and Dale Wallace; a brother, Woodrow Hightower and his wife Darlene; grandson, Phillip Branscum; and daughter-in-law, Billie Carol Branscum.
