ALLEN-Services for Alfreda Georgene Stout Marler, 86, of Allen, are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Allen First Baptist Church, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time.
Mrs. Marler died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at a Purcell assisted living center. She was born May 15, 1926 in Ada, Oklahoma to Sammie Franklin and Vesta Rebecca Luke Stout. She graduated from Allen High School.
She married Harold Marler on March 9, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2009. Mrs. Marler was a homemaker and a member of the Allen First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Philip L. Marler and his wife Leura of Purcell; two grandsons, David Bret Marler and Michelle Matthews of Ardmore, and Kirk Marler and Heather Strohmeyer of Norman; a sister, Mary Louise Pogue of Ada; her brothers-in-law, James A. Marler and his wife Elizabeth of Stillwater, and Howard Marler and his wife Doris of Oklahoma City; a nephew, Marcus Pogue and his wife Debbie of Ada; great-nephew, Tyler Pogue and his wife Kacie, and their son, Stran; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold Marler.
