Obituary

Services for Ahmad Christopher Stanley Moore, 16, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Ada First Baptist Church, Pastor Charlene Parker-Blue will officiate.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Ahmad Christopher Stanley Moore was born on March 25, 2005, Good Friday, to Christopher Eugene Moore and Aminah Nakila Currie in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At birth he was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which he fought like a true soldier in God's army and persevered for 16 years, 9 months and 10 days. On Friday, December 10, 2021 he completed his earthly assignment, transitioning peacefully, surrounded by family and love.

Ahmad was raised primarily in Ada Oklahoma with his mother, but spent many days with his paternal family in the OKC Metro area.  He was a proud Chickasaw citizen who attended Chickasaw Nation Head Start and Ada City Public Schools from kindergarten to 11th grade. Ahmad took pride in participating in many Chickasaw Nation youth programs: He was a member of the Martial Arts Program, the Jr. LEGO League, the Native Explorers Club, as well as a long-term student in the Chickasaw Nation school age program. The school age program variety show held a special place in Ahmad's heart, his energy lit up the stage with each of his lead performances. Ahmad enjoyed many years of activity at the Ada Boys & Girls Club. He was also an Ada Cougar band member during his 5th & 6th grade years playing the clarinet. Ahmad had a great appreciation of and for music, especially producing and editing. He was a very talented beat curator. That was his passion and career aspiration. Let's also not forget his gaming life! He was a true gamer and enjoyed going live with his friends online, screaming and laughing as hard as he could! These things brought him joy.

Ahmad was known for setting his own trends! Whether it was his Fedoras, character socks, his locs, or his love for black clothing and red roses, he was never a follower by any means! His personality was one to be remembered. He would dish out the best wisecracks and comebacks, loved being a prankster and most of all pestering his mom. But beside all that, he truly loved and valued his family and friends. The name Ahmad means "most highly favored/praised" and that he was! He will be truly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Stanley Moore; his Paw Paw, Ron Coffey; maternal grandmother, Martha Mae Richardson-Currie; maternal grandfather, Jerry Muhammad; and a sister, Amari Bless Moore.

Survivors include his father, Christopher Moore and wife Sycheekia, Edmond; his mother, Aminah Currie and her significant other, Charles Brown, Ada; two brothers, Solomon Moore and Kaleb Ferguson, both of Edmond; two sisters, Asia Moore, Minot, ND and Ania Samuels, Edmond; his maternal grandfather, William Cubitt, Ada; paternal grandmother, Arthanella Coffey, Midwest City; two aunts, Akilah Dunn and husband Ruben, Ada and Atiera Currie, St. Louis, MO; and a host of other relatives and friends.
