IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aaron Zane
Heilaman
December 22, 1977 – February 15, 2026
Aaron Heilaman
A celebration of life for Aaron Zane Heilaman will be held at H2O Church on Thursday, February 26th in Ada, Oklahoma at 10 AM. Tyson Brown will officiate.
On the evening of February 15th 2026, Aaron was called home to Jesus, surrounded by his loving family, healed at last.
Aaron was born December 22nd, 1977 in Yukon, Oklahoma to Jack and Marilyn Heilaman. He was raised in Hinton, Oklahoma and graduated from Hinton High School in 1996. Living on Cedar Lake, he grew up swimming, fishing, hanging with the buds, singing, playing varsity football, basketball, and baseball, and attending church.
In 1999, he met his college sweetheart, Johnna Kay Howard, while they both were working at El Chico and attending The University of Oklahoma. They got married on June 22, 2002.
Pursuing a doctorate degree from OU's College of Pharmacy was a dream for Aaron that came to fruition on June 2, 2007. His ultimate dream of becoming a dad happened just 3 days after graduation with his daughter Violet, then son Beckett in 2010, and son Elliott in 2014. He loved his family deeply, worked hard for them, dreamed with them, played with them, cheered for them, guided them, fought to live for them, and cuddled them every chance he got.
Aaron was a devoted husband, dad, friend, son, brother, cousin, nephew, man of God, baseball coach, dance dad, sports dad, theatre dad, and cheerleader. He loved music of every genre, singing, learning to play guitar, jumping waves at the beach, dancing with Johnna, fantasy football weekend with the boys, OU football games, Ada Cougar baseball games, coaching baseball teams, golfing with buddies, wrestling with Beckett and Elliott, watching Violet on a stage, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He wore his heart on his sleeve and loved big. If you knew him you got a smile, a high five, a bear hug, or a one liner joke with an infectious laugh. He moved back to Johnna's hometown of Ada in 2008, but you would never know he wasn't from here. He jumped right into friend groups who felt like old friends, proudly sported maroon and white from the beginning, and became embedded into the community, the church, and the schools.
He served as a pharmacist for 18 years, working most recently at the Chickasaw Nation Refill Center. He also worked in retail pharmacies locally, with hospice, and was a proud owner of Doctors Park Pharmacy and Tradition Drug. Aaron and Johnna worked together in their family pharmacy for almost a decade. Aaron loved talking to customers, answering questions and easing their worry, advocating for customers, and sneaking in the occasional root beer float from the soda fountain.
He is survived by his wife and "best friend", Johnna, his two" tight buddies", Beckett and Elliott, his "baby girl", Violet, his brother Jack Heilaman, his father and mother-in-law, John and Debra Howard, and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephew.
Aaron was reunited in Heaven with his daughter, Hope Heilaman, his parents Jack and Marilyn, his Grandparents, Aunt Judy, Aunt Lois, and sister Tammi.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Ada Cougar Baseball, in care of Christie Jennings, 1400 Stadium Drive, Ada, OK.
